New Browns linebacker Quentin Groves was arrested last week on charges of solicitation after being caught in a sting run by the Orange and Beachwood police along with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, Scene has learned.

On April 17, according to the police report, Groves arrived at Room 231 of the Homestead Guest Studios. He had responded to an ad and requested “full service” from an officer posing as a prostitute offering sex for hire, according to records. A price was agreed upon during the call before he arrived.

From the police report: “He agreed to one hour of time for 100.00 and was told that anal would be an additional 20.00.”

His court date is May 10.

$195.70 and a box of Magnum condoms were seized as evidence.

The Browns had just signed Groves to a two-year, $2.8 million contract in March.

A call to the team for comment has not yet been returned.

14 other men were arrested in the three-day operation.

  5. I’m not mad at his choice, in his shoes I would do the exact same thing. I’d rather have a prostitute than a baby mother. If I didnt have a wife! I would much rather pay 100/hr rather than at a minimum 5500 a month for a child or 2.

FAIR EXCHANGE, NO ROBBERY. Rather than an ex wife or a baby mama wanting thousands a month and they wouldn’t do half of what you want. legalise it!

  27. At least he didn’t just meet a young girl in the club and take what he wanted like Rottenburger did. He does not feel untouchable just because he is rich. Maybe if the cops focused their attention on real crimes instead of trying to trap someone then we would have less rapes and other truly violent crimes out there.
