In an almost perfectly absurd reporting mishap, Bruce Drennan relayed information from one of his “great sources” that Cavs Head Coach David Blatt would be resigning. Seconds later, after kicking the shot over to the press conference, Blatt took his first question and replied that — and we’ll emphasize this — no, he would not be resigning.

  3. Before sports journalism became just another chase for gotcha fables based on unnamed “sources”, a whopping lie like Drennan’s would have found the host looking for a job — perhaps as early as the next commercial break.
