As alums of dear old Case Western, we have a little working knowledge of the campus and accompanying social life, so imagine the chortle that emerged from our bellies when we saw that Huffington Post ranked CWRU as one of the trendiest colleges in America.
There’s a common room full of engineering majors doing homework on a Saturday night that would like to beg to differ with that statement. (Of course, those folks are probably enjoying their holiday weekend on a yacht while we’re at a picnic table eating frozen Giant Eagle hamburgers, but whatever.)
But as we read on, HuffPo’s criteria for “trendy” has more to do with how many people are applying, and not so much to do with the school actually being a fun place to live and drink for four years. We’ll let them explain how Case came to be ranked the 6th trendiest college in the nation.
