Update: Bob-Bob the cat is back home safe in Ohio, recovered from his impromptu vacation to Florida. You may now stop worrying and return to your regularly scheduled day. (WEWS)

It’s Friday afternoon. Time for a story about a cat. Here it goes:

Bob-Bob the cat didn’t want to stay home in Ohio. Nope, not one bit. Bob-Bob, we assume, saw his owner, a pleasant disabled elderly woman named Ethel Maze, packing up for her trip to Florida and decided he too wanted to go to Florida. Who wouldn’t. A little catcation. Some rays. Some relaxation. Some napping over here, some napping over there.

So Bob-Bob climbed in one of her bags. Maze didn’t notice. Neither did the baggage handler, who according to the AP, thought he saw her bag move, but loaded it on the plane anyway.

One 10-hour ride later, Maze was in Florida, checked into her hotel and unpacking her bags and BOOM, there’s Bob-Bob, no worse for the trip.

Maze, of Circleville, Ohio, says the 14-month-old cat was shaken but still purring.

And what about the TSA? Able to spot and nab your non-travel-sized shampoo in one quick movement while also touching you in your bathing seat area? How does a cat get through the x-ray unnoticed?

Via the Orlando Sentinel:

“Our machines are very sensitive to picking up explosives and other threats to aviation,” said Sari Koshetz, a TSA spokeswoman.

Cats are not threats to aviation. They are, however, cute.

  1. How much are these stupid fuckers employed as Security at Airports paid ?
…do they have to pass an I.Q. test or just have to be a minority that likes Obama ?

  2. How do you pack your suitcase and not notice a cat is inside? Especially when you push down on the suitcase so you can get the zipper to close, I would think you’d hear a “meow” or two, lol.
