Earlier this year Cleveland lost “the flower guy,” Tibor Sarossy, the kindly and ever-present old gentleman who peddled blossoms around town at bars and restaurants. The beloved flower guy was killed back in January when Christo Skourlis sped through a red light in Lakewood and hit him as well as another pedestrian.
Police eventually caught up with Skourlis after a tip in March led them to his home and truck on Wyandote Ave.
After pleading guilty last month to aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault and other charges, the 29-year-old received his prison sentence of two and a half years today.
This article appears in Jul 28 – Aug 3, 2010.

This sentence is unbeleivable. Two and 1/2 years for a speeding red light runaway killing + injury to a second pedestrian. You got to be kidding me. Well the Feds have another case to review. Someone got paid off. Who??? Get all involved, they deserve time – 2 and 1/2 years of hard time.
Not long enough. Not only did he kill someone, he didn’t come forward and take responsibility. This is a travesty.
drinnkin drive in Lakewood woo hoo! ouuta my way, gotta hide my truck on the street where the unsolved fbi shooting happened
