[image-1]Ohio Republican Josh Mandel has released a statement announcing his withdrawal from the United States Senate race. Mandel said his wife has been diagnosed with a health issue that will require his time and attention.
“After recent discussions with our family and healthcare professionals, it has become clear to us that it’s no longer possible for me to be away from home and on the campaign trail for the time needed to run a US Senate race,” Mandel’s statement read. “Therefore, I’m writing today to let you know that I am ending my campaign for US Senate in order to be there for my wife and our three children.”
Mandel, the state treasurer who has fiendishly adopted President Donald Trump’s rhetoric and populist campaign strategy, will finish out his current term as treasurer.
He was slated to take on incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in the 2018 contest.

Plus, since his wife is former millionaire US Senator Howard Metzenbaum’s daughter,
I don’t think medical costs will be an issue in her treatment, or the grand-children’s future, for that matter
