If you’re looking for the purr-fect time to bring home a furry friend, now may be it. The Cleveland Animal Protective League is currently offering up adult cats and kittens for just $5 after reaching a critical capacity level at the Tremont adoption center.

Via the Cleveland APL’s Facebook page:

The center took in almost 69 animals in October, and another 154 just last week, which maxed out their animal living spaces.

Take a peek at all the adoptable animals here, then head over to the Tremont adoption center today (Friday) or tomorrow (Saturday) to take home a new feline friend.

  1. I lost one of my feline companions in May, after almost fifteen years. But it looks as though I will also have to wait for one of my other kitties, who’s nineteen and mostly blind, to join her late “brother”…as she would not like having a new addition to the household. Don’t need the hiss-offs.

And then there’s the money issue…
So I guess no adoptions for me until APL’s next Dollar Cat Night.

  2. I stopped working with the APL after I rescued a cat from below zero temperatures and they wouldn’t take it unless I paid them $80. Could have left the cat outside to freeze and die, but yeah, they didn’t care. Probably should have walked outside and released it for free. Still, lesson learned; never again. Thanks APL, for changing my way of thinking!!!

  3. There are other options. Other rescue outfits and no-kill shelters like “Tails From The Kitty”…great San Francisco pun, huh? It can be found on Yelp, and there’s a phone number to call for more info.

They take three-legged and even two-legged felines, so a four-legged frozen cat would probably not be turned away.

APL wanted you to pay to GIVE…not TAKE, but GIVE…a kitty? What the flood?
