Pitchfork reports that the Cleveland-based experimental rock trio Emeralds has called it quits. The band which included multi-instrumentalists Mark McGuire, Steve Hauschildt and John Elliott was downsized to a duo earlier this month when McGuire, who was no longer living in Cleveland, announced he was leaving the band. But Hauschildt issued a series of tweets that announced he would leave the group for “personal reasons” and he explained the band was subsequently canceling all tour dates. It’s too bad. Though the act rarely performed live, it was a bright spot on the local scene and its most recent album, Just to Feel Anything, was its best effort yet. You can read our most recent article on the band here.
