According to police, the woman said she was going to go out to her car to grab change. However, upon realizing that she didn’t have the funds, returned and told the store’s workers that she had decided to go with a natural Plan B: robbery.
Witnesses say she wasn’t armed or verbally threatening and just pushed the people working behind the counter out of the way and grabbed the store’s cash box. She ended up making out with about $62 and the keys to the store.
At this time, the culprit has yet to be apprehended.
The store is called Edna Boutique and is an extension of Edna House, a nonprofit that helps women who are recovering alcoholics and drug addicts and currently accept donations through their website. According to the Boutique’s Facebook, they were closed the day following the robbery but have since reopened.
