The Cleveland Division of Police Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit is currently investigating a rape which occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at approximately 5:25 on West 104th Street near Lake Avenue. The victim, a 46 year old female, was jogging on West 104th street when a male ran up and attacked her from behind, knocking her to the ground in the street. The suspect punched the victim several times in her face and body and pistol whipped her before dragging her behind a building and raping her. The suspect then fled the area on foot.***The suspect is described as a black male, 5’6 – 5’7 in height. The video being released in connection with this incident shows the initial attack. Anyone with information regarding the identification of the suspect is asked to contact the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit at 216-623-5154.
Cleveland Police have released more details from the attack. Lakewood police have released a sketch of the suspect.

That attack could have been made at 4 pm on a Fall or Winter Day here. We need to take back our streets because when the old people and women leave, a neighborhood is just a war zone.
