One super football fan may have taken the “Browns-are-going-to-win-the-Super-Bowl-this-year” line of thinking a little too far.

Garrett Howenstine, a 20-year-old Clevelander who is currently studying hard at The Ohio State University, showed off his brand new upper-thigh tattoo yesterday on Twitter with the incredibly hopeful words: “Cleveland Browns Super Bowl Champs LIV.”

The work was done by the Columbus-based shop Bodystain Tattoo & Body Piercing.

The college student is of course not alone in getting premature championship messaging inked on his body, the internet is full of folks who wished that their beloved sports ball team would win it all. But if the Browns can actually win remains to be seen.

Despite Sports Illustrated recently unleashing a cover with the following headline: “Bold Prediction! Cleveland’s First Division Title in 30 years — Can they win SB LIV?” the team still has a hell of a lot to prove. That time comes Sunday, Sept. 8, when the Browns take on the Titans at home.
