Cleveland Marine 'Toy Soldier' Brings Shiny Surprise Home to Girlfriend (Video)

Brittany Necak thought she was randomly selected to dance with the toy soldier during the Toy Soldier, Fairy Godmother & Friends show at Tower City last week, but she was part of an elaborate plan instead. Tower City Staff worked with a local Marine, Private First Class Austin Brooks, to surprise Necak with a proposal.

As the Fairy Godmother finished singing "I'll Be Home For Christmas", she sang the fateful lyric "if only in my dreams," prompting her to say "And dreams do come true." This is when the toy soldier opened the box to reveal Necak's real soldier - Brooks. After a kiss under the mistletoe and a bent knee, Necak gave an eager "yes."

The proposal wasn't the only surprise for Brittany. In fact, Brooks had told Necak he would not be home in time for Christmas, so she didn't even know her boyfriend would be home in the first place.

The surprise was not flawless, though; Brooks was nervous that Necak and her family would not make it in time due to traffic from the Cavs game, but Christmas does have a habit of creating miracles.
