The anonymous tip reportedly came from the Harvard Wine & Grille, on Harvard Road, and said that an additional group of young males would be waiting, ready to “overwhelm” arriving officers.
Another threat, according to the bulletin, involves young males riding dirt bikes next to zone cars and shooting at the officers inside.
Cleveland Police have made no additional comment on the threat, but CPPA President Steve Loomis called it credible. He told Fox 8 Thursday that officers would not be enticed to respond, but if they had to, they would do so “immediately.”
“And I assure you we’re a a better shot than they are,” Loomis said.
He characterized the threat as the latest in a series of threats against officers nationwide. “It’s open season on police,” he said, and urged city leaders to speak out against the threats.
Cleveland Police have a no-chase policy for dirt bikes and ATV vehicles.

Well I say just make it a law. If these dumb ass kids want to provoke and shoot cops, let the cops shoot the kids. F*** them if they want to be that stupid.

Solution= legalize atv vehicles on the street, but make ODOT rules apply. Drivers license, lights, speed limits, ect… and treat them as if they were a motorists in a car. There will be a turn around when there isn’t an adrenaline rush from having run simply because they are licensed,insured and required to obey traffic laws. Also this will help keep not so dangerous offenders out of the jails by just simply giving tickets. Seriously what is the harm in just riding a dirtbike or atv on the street. Ni different than them not having a license and getting in a car and driving. It’s not the bikes or atvs causing the problems, it’s the people on them that don’t follow the rules. And if they act like a dumbass it will only hurt themselves. It’s a way the city could make more money and have a boost in the economy. When there is comprise that potentially benifits politically,publicly, and economically why not push for it? We all have our own place in the communities. It’s the decisions one makes within the community that’s makes the difference. When we show positive influences there is more potential for a positive outcome. When someone who is in routine of breaking the law and they get into the routine of doing good and living a law abiding life the impact that it’s does to others is so much more rewarding. Trust me I’m living it now.
The Cleveland Police Union act as if it want to fight residents or is at war with us I live in Cleveland Kinsman Shaker area I see young guys on dirt bikes always 99% of them respectable towards myself and they are employed most show off doing whiles and they good It is really sad they are now being targeted by misrepresentation and political hype by members of a Union who are hired to protect and serve these guys moreover what will happen when some police officer shoots and kill them claiming he/she fear for their life based of this bs lie seem to me the Kinsman guys should now fear for their life because CPPA President Steve Loomis put a target on them as if they do not have enough to worry about black on black crime
Yes, Christopher, the police clearly put out this bulletin as a precursor to their planned murder of some of these ATV or dirt bike riding youths. This reminds me of the time that the FBI, US Government, Snoopy, and the Globetrotters murdered that guy in central Ohio who owned all those exotic animals, all because they wanted to be able to claim owning exotic animals was dangerous and needed regulation. Thank goodness we have someone as smart and clever as you pointing these clear facts out to the rest of us. Now please excuse me while I slam my face against the wall a few dozen times and weep for humanity.

It’s crazy how they are making these young men targets. All they do is ride and have fun. Not one report has been made towards these guys being violent. Now because they can’t have control over them. Now, they want 2 put this bullshit out here making them targets.
