On four separate occasions, the planned robbery has happened the same way: A man in a red sweatshirt orders food, pulls up to the window, and produces a handgun before demanding cash.

Between Oct. 28 and Dec. 18 of last year, this man pulled the same stunt at Rally’s drive-thru locations around Cleveland. Employees described him as a black man wearing a red sweatshirt with white writing on it.

From the Cleveland Police Department’s blog (note the terrific headline punctuation):

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Fourth District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5418. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216.252.7463 or via text message: text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).

  1. Moral of this story? Never trust anyone wearing a red sweatshirt. (Scarlet sweatshirts are okay though)

  2. So many people are employed in these joints…..and are standing targets, often during the prime hours for the thugs.
