You’ll probably see these dudes at Harpo’s. The first seven rounds are on them.

(Editor’s note: We are still unsure exactly how we accidentally hired a Steelers fan. Apparently our formidable background-check procedure — Uh, you’re not, like, weird or nothin’, are you? — failed us once again. We are working with HR to remedy this right away). Oh, the pain and hardship that comes with being a Steelers fan in Browns town. The jeers, the hoots, the beer cans thrown in faces. Though most Cleveland sports bars devote their space and energies to Browns fans, there are a few safe havens for Steelers groupies looking for respite on Sunday. In these places, you’ll find yourself in the company of many people who still bleed gold and black. They are the official un-official hang-outs of Pittsburgh ex-pats.

Owners claim they have 25 HD TVs and that “they will always have the Steelers on.”

A recent pluggedincleveland review had this to say about the joint: “There is a large contingent of Steelers fans that frequent this place of business. Yes this restaurant is in Cleveland … It used to be such a nice place. Now a lot of people will not step foot in this place because of this fact.” (All the more reason for us to go.)

  1. Clowns fan is an enigma…they say they enjoy a good football game…then they go out and watch the Clowns.
    Awesome!
I’ve been a Steelers fan for going on 25 years and I am a life-long Clevelander (born in the 1960s). You can bet that I derive far more enjoyment out of watching the Steelers than dealing with the train wreck that is the Clowns.
Clowns fan begged, pleaded and cried for the NFL to return their team. For the record, the league should have never let that happen and should have stripped the team from Art Modell and just given him the rights to a new expansion franchise and the league could have run the team until a suitable owner could have been found.
And this is the “football” they get? I’m sorry, but if Clowns fan really is that much of a glutton for punishment, perhaps they can start their own version of “Jackass” and take a baseball bat to the nuts every time they lose.

  2. What, no eastside bars for Steeler fans?
And, don’t you just love that Ben Roethlisberger just donated $10,000, to the C.P.D., so they can get a new bomb dog, since their existing one, 11 year old Rex, is ready to retire?
Oh, it is going to be a glorious 50th birthday (monday)!

  3. I’m going to go ahead and assume that “Dave” is uneducated.
“Nowhere in that rambling, incoherent tirade did you ever come close to saying anything that could resemble a rationale thought. I award you no points….and may God have mercy on your soul.”
