Cleveland.com’s Ohio State Buckeye reporter Bill Landis is joining Joe Vardon, Tom Reed, Zack Meisel and Ari Wasserman — all former Cleveland.com reporters who now work for The Athletic Cleveland.

Landis will complement Wassserman’s OSU football coverage and will lead the OSU basketball beat. The Athletic announced a bunch of other college basketball hires today as it expands coverage of NCAA hoops.

No word on if Cleveland.com editor Chris Quinn penned a sequel to his all-staff email following the news.
