Ever wonder just how much it would cost to buy the famous A Christmas Story house?

Well, the folks over at Movoto (a “fun” real estate blog based in California) have unwraped an answer.

Their estimate? $53,000.

That’s saying something, considering the house’s current owners recently put a Christmas Eve/Christmas Day overnight up for auction and expected the two-night stay to go for $3000 – $5000.

The Motovo team based their analysis on the house’s assets (its appearance in the motion picture was not one of them) to create a fictional listing.

  1. Yeah, I have a feeling that 53,000 is just a tad bit too low for the home’s value. I love it when random people from outside Cleveland tell us how things in Cleveland are supposed to be.
