Portugal. The Man performed their brand of indie rock in House of Blues’ intimate Cambridge Room last night. Following two relatively lackluster opening acts, the lights dimmed and Portugal. The Man took the stage, reminding everyone why they are headliners. The crowd went wild as they rocked out, making it look like it was easy to sound that good.

The band opened with the upbeat fan favorite “Guns and Dogs” from their 2009 album The Satanic Satanist; a good choice to get the party started with nearly every ticketholder belting out the lyrics. The hits kept coming, with more tracks from The Satanic Satanist and their 2008 album Censored Colors, along with new material like the recently released “Got It All (This Can’t Be Living Now).”
