When the mercury ticks up near 100 there’s a rote routine of stories the local news media pops out: How senior citizens have to stay cool! Don’t forget to drink water! It’s freaking hot! Babies can’t live outside in 100-degree heat by themselves!

There’s also the “It’s so hot you can fry an egg on the sidewalk,” which University Hospitals and Fox 8 decided wasn’t illustrative enough of these rising temps. Instead, they set out to prove that you can cook s’mores in a hot car. Good knowledge, we suppose, if you have no fire, no oven, a car, and 30 minutes of free time, and you want to eat s’mores in your parking lot.
