ESPN’s Brian Windhorst had a very intriguing Browns tidbit during a recent appearance on ESPN Cleveland (WKNR) — Jimmy Haslam met with Sam Hinkie, the former General Manager and President of Basketball Operations of the Philadelphia 76ers, during the transition to an analytics-based organization. Hinkie’s “tanking” theory of stripping the roster to the bare bones and accumulating draft picks over a number of seasons was beyond controversial and ultimately caused his ouster….since it never took into account the major problems with retaining a solid fan-base through an incredibly inferior product.
