When Dan Gilbert fired off his scathing and passionate open letter to Cleveland following LeBron’s decision, there was one section in particular that had people talking.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
Cavs fans — jilted, hurt, and confused — wanted the dirt and it looked like Dan Gilbert was ready to spill it. Cleveland wanted to know every bad thing LeBron ever did while in Cleveland, as if the revelation that he was an asshole would make the sting hurt any less. And Cavs fans did get some of that dirt, mainly from Yahoo! reports about LeBron’s less than stellar status among Team USA executives, but where was the motherload that Gilbert had promised?

It’s his team. It’s his money. He was betrayed and is reacting accordingly. Why not just stop this encouragement of more and more and start a movement to act like ladies and gentlemen and move forward. As far as I’m concerned, both LeBron and Dan acted in ways that fit their needs and wants. Nothing is going to be accomplished by continuing to fan the flames. LeBron is not coming back, except as a visitor in the Q and Gilbert will try and invest money to get the city a viable team. End of story!
Gilbert should have left with James because they are both losers! I am not speaking of being “natural” losers either, so don’t come back with a remark that they’re wealthier than most people because this could be so true. They lack morals to the highest standard, though and I’m sure a spiritual scholar can relate to this statement!
Lebron James is just a title chaser,Lebron will at no time ever be a Micheal Jordon,Kobe Bryant.All I see in Lebron anymore is just a loser chasing a title. He’s need Bosh and Wade to help him get it. Lebron had a team with the Cavs and he betrayed them.He never took the time to sit and talk with any of them,he just got up and left,like a teenage kids quiting a team because he was losing. I have no respect for Lebron and anyone that IDOLIZES Lebron should have his or her head examined.And I’m not even a Cavs fan!!!
Just like everyone else in Cleveland, i too was disappointed that the best player in the NBA was leaving the team, but i kept things in perspective. Lebron should have went to any team he so choose,why because it was his right to, and for that he’s playing the bad guy role. Dan Gilbert has the right to be upset and Lebron’s old teammates and thats where the backlash should end. He feels that he’s on a better team, living in a much city, so thats the up side for him, so why do anyone like edtek and my cousins say that he’s wrong and call him names, LET IT GO and enjoy the game.
