Cavs owner Dan Gilbert has been discharged from the Michigan hospital where he was treated for and recovering from a stroke he suffered in late May, Deadline Detroit reported today with confirmation from the hospital.

A spokesperson declined to elaborate to the outlet on what day exactly he was discharged or where he was discharged to.

Gilbert suffered the stroke after checking himself in with stroke-like symptoms. Updates from Quicken Loans’ Bill Emerson and others have been understandably sparse, but, as of a few weeks ago, Gilbert was said to have been in good spirits in advance of what will be a long recovery.

Vince Grzegorek has been with Scene since 2007 and editor-in-chief since 2012. He previously worked at Discount Drug Mart and Texas Roadhouse.

  1. Nowadays you have to be half-dead to stay in a hospital for three weeks. I wish Dan well. I hope he’s alright.
