The Taste of Summer, sponsored by Scene and Flats East Bank, returns this Memorial Day Weekend, kicking off the unofficial start of summer.

This free event is family-friendly and appeases all ages, thanks to a bouncy castle and giant Jenga, vendors, craft cocktails, and even a Yappy Hour for your furry family member, starting Friday at 4 p.m. Expect more than 10 musical acts to bring the rock 'n' roll to the Flats throughout the entire weekend. Also look forward to an abundance of summertime food favorites, including corn-on-a-stick, tacos, piña coladas and oysters.

Taste of Summer takes place at Flats East Bank (1055 Old River Rd.) Friday from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from noon-10 p.m. As street parking and paid lots are sure to fill up quickly, note that this event is accessible via the RTA Waterfront Line.

Proceeds from the festival go toward W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, an organization that works to provide service animals for children throughout Northeast Ohio with disabilities.
