
Today is very important—we have exactly 365 more days to go before the end of the world. The world was supposed to end May 21 of this year, and again on October 21. But it didn’t happen, which sucked for people who gave up their jobs and all their worldly goods in preparation.
But according to the ancient Maya, whose calendar stops on December 21, 2012, we will definitely be done for one year from today. ABC has a nice write-up on the history of doomsday predictions here.
And, if you are one to buy into the Mayan theory, we have good news—Cleveland is one of the best places to be for it!

In a universe which is with out a doubt different than what it appears to be, it is a comforting thought to realize that only the present, here and now perspctive on life has meaning.
Fish, flesh and fowl, comend all summer long, whatever is begotten, born and dies.
Caught in that sensual music, all neglect monuments of unaging intellect.
End of the world books and movies are great. The Stand, On The Beach, and some of the Twilight Zone’s end of the world stories were my favorites.
I know I am hogging this article and I want to make it clear that no one needs to read my crap. If you want to comment just scroll me out and start writing.
