The Ohio State Fair is upon us, which means a few of things: Glorious candid shots of John Kasich enjoying the festivities, fried foods (including fried tacos this year), and butter sculptures. On the latter front — hoo boy, are fairgoers in for a dazzling display of dairy design. By our untrained eye, a generous fuckton of butter was used to create this year’s centerpiece, which is an ode to fueling up high school athletes with delicious, nutritious and thirst-quenching chocolate milk, the official beverage of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and a way more visually stimulating subject for a sculpture than water. The real highlight here, in addition to the sheer volume of butter used and the artistic skill needed to shape it to look like a cow, is that this is the first time a color additive has been used in the process. Butter!

  1. O.k. I am in an airport on Android bored. Dangerous to write anything on Android phone because as you know it likes to take over. However, I’m really bored so I’m reading, (The Scene) Yup! So, tired of expressions used in their writing: For example, “You know what I mean, you know what I mean.” No, I don’t, please explain?
