If you work in the service industry or hang around at certain spots, you probably know Pete Daley and Victoria Weiland. If so, you probably also know what’s going on. For the rest of you: Pete and Victoria are delightful people and they lost everything in a fire recently, just days after they got married.

(A short news account of the fire can be found here.)

A GoFundMe has been organized to raise funds for the couple and the Spotted Owl is hosting a fundraiser on October 2 with all profits and tips benefiting the couple. Details on that event in the IG post below.

Vince Grzegorek has been with Scene since 2007 and editor-in-chief since 2012. He previously worked at Discount Drug Mart and Texas Roadhouse.

  1. What about the others that were effected and lost everything in that fire? Like the neighbor behind them whose apartment caught fire on the back half? Whose whole apartment filled with smoke causing her to loose all of her belongings too?? How about the fact that she has two small children who are now also out of a home because it has been deemed unlivable by the fire martial and they estimate it to be atleast 2 months until she can live there again? What about the surrounding families who were also effected with children? Why didn’t they bother to carry renters insurance to help cover their loss. It’s a tragedy what happened to them and their home but what about everyone else surrounding them that were also effected?

  2. You do know they are being investigated for ARSON and had NO renters insurance! Apartment is market as a CRIME SCENE!

Why don’t you check in with the other families who have been displaced due to their carelessness??? One is a single mom with two special needs kids under 10. Where is their story????
