Ohio’s new governor stepped up his innovative piss-everybody-off approach to leadership Wednesday, just one day after 1,000 cops, firefighters, teachers, and other public workers showed up at the Statehouse in Columbus to protest a bill that would strip them of their collective bargaining rights.

He is another example of politicians that are not in touch with the people he represents. His statement shows the ignorance of most political leaders. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!!!
Kasich has only one thing on his mind and that is himself and how to make more money in his pocket. He doesn’t care about Ohioans and his background and actions as governor show it. The people in Cleveland wanted a change from Stricklin and I hope they enjoy every bit of Kasichs greed.
The governor is the idiot! Screw him! Maybe he should do a little research on how many law enforcement officers are killed by people who fail to yield to their lights on the freeways. Just another example of why this country is in such great demise. When a politician can’t even respect the law how do they expect to have the ordinary citizen respect the police. He needs to look himself in the mirror.
How can a man who disrespects the people who work for him expect them to have any kind of respect or loyalty to that man?
He obviously thinks that by doing the job of “union buster” that he is going to save the state some money.
Remember those of you that voted for him, YOU JUST SCREWED EVERYONE IN THE STATE!!!!!
he will be impeached before his term ends. he is absolutly out of touch from the real world. kasich is nothing but a loud mouth candy ass.
I don’t know if the story is true or not and if someone can give me proof that it was an actual stop then he was in the wrong and should pay for that offense, I drive a truck for a living and know how dangerous it can be out there. Aside from that lets get a few things straight the police firemen and others that protested DON’T work for him they work for the towns and cities throughtout the state, he wants to make some changes that will save this state money. In this day and age why unions are still in exisitance are beyond me, they had thier time and place, as did the pony express, telegraphs and stage coaches. But unions today are a bunch of bull***t people in unions are too afraid to walk out on those big bad multi-national corps that treat them like crap instead of taking there skill to a place that would appreciate them. If I work harder and better than my co-worker then why the hell shouldn’t I make more money than him? I see what the unions did to GM and the steel industry and yet all of those sheeple in the union don’t care about the company just yourself even if it means the demise of the company you work for and for what?
I saw the video of him so I aplogize about the first part of my statement but I see what he did time and time again on the road. I’m not defending him on the ticket he deserves it.
Folks he is not disputing that he deserved the ticket, he was making a point about how he was treated. Get a shell folks!!!
His comments had to do with the conduct of the officer and not the fact that he was doing his job. We have all run into people that are “just doing their job”, but it is how you treat others in doing your job that matters.
I’m so embarrassed to be a citizen of a state that would elect a turd like this. These wealthy Republican governors are determined to wipe out the middle class. As far as idiots go, he’ll find out who the idiot is when he gets turned out after just one term 🙁
Kasich epitomizes the distinction of ‘you gotta be one to know one’… (It doesn’t really matter the circumstances or the actions of the officer, people like Kasich don’t ever see that they do any wrong and believe that they are above the law and/or deserve some ‘special treatment’, plain and simple). He’s an asshat and he thinks it’s an anecdote but if any one of us had a voice and spoke that way, people would be all over our collective asses – so we’ll just leave it at that as there should be no further questions since he proves he’s an asshat every day.
I thought the crux of the story was his busting the union not that he got pulled over and got a ticket. I excepted more from you libtards! As far as “These wealthy Republican governors are determined to wipe out the middle class.” what about all the hyper wealthy Democratic governors? Can you honestly say they are looking to maintain the middle class? I think not!
This man sure likes to eat crow-he does this time and time again.
He runs his mouth and then has to make amends for it. He has
no class. Any politician would know better than say something
like this on tape. He does nothing but criticize everyone, police,
teachers, firefighters, nurses, public workers, and on and on.
Once he is done with the public workers he will go after the private
sector. He is hateful, verbally abusive, and threatening to everyone. He is nothing but a monster. He walks, talks and
acts like one. He walks bent over swinging his arms and hands
and when he talks he looks like a guppy gulping for air. If
I didn’t know better I would think he was a remake of Frankenstein
I really do think this strange behavior is due to mental and physical problems. The tax payers are going to have to pay for
identity protection for thousands of state workers because his
Oh So fine help listed their SS#’s on the web. I heard this
event to call a policeman a idiot cost us $50,000. It is time
to impeach him. Ohio may well become another Egypt if this
man stays in Office.
As far as Ohio’s budget woes-Kasich and Lehman Brothers and
the rest of Wall street’s greed is the cause. Public workers and
unions had nothing to do with it. Unions have been around since
the 30’s. If they were the problem this would have happened
a long, long, long time ago. Unions are the only movement in this
country that stand up to the Big Corporations. Without them, the
american worker is a sunk duck. Unions are the ones that brought about labor laws that protect us from unfair treatment by unfair
companys.
In Ohio, there has been so few Democratic Governors that blaming
anything on them is ridiculous. Ohio has always been mostly
Republican. That is one big reason things are in the mess they
are in.
I love how he tries to spin this as him giving an example about government needs to be more responsive to “taxpayers”. His speech was about requiring the EPA to be more “responsive to business interests” and not the people the EPA was supposed to protect. He essentially told the EPA that he wants the EPA to rubber stamp and allow business polluters to pollute. Be more “responsive to taxpayers” what a joke! The EPA was created to protect the PEOPLE of the state from corporations polluting and degrading it.
People that do not yield to emergency vehicles are law breakers, not “clients”. The police exist to protect the safety of all, not the egos of arrogant jerks.
He got the treatment he deserved.
Well Rachel youmight need to learn a thing or two about the world we live in today. The number one greenhouse gas on the planet is water vapor 36-66% followed by CO2, carbon dioxide, around 29% followed by methane and then ozone don’t see many fatories pumping out water vapor or anyone stopping those pesky cows from farting CO2 is the only gas that we as humans have control over but with the explsion of the population that will go up and depending on which area of the world you live in will determin how much CO2 is pmped in the atmosphere surely not in the US I’ll wager
It is scary that the people of Ohio elected a jerk like this. First, he calls a police officer an ifdiot, then he attempts to kill the rights of the citizens. I have been a registered Republican my entire voting life, but right now I am ashamed to be registered as one! This is NOT the Republican Party that I signed on to. This is a creature that I don’t recognize—a scary one!
Another case of republican royalty who do not think the rules which they impose on the people apply to them.
The officer is an idiot?
The idiots are the ones who bought the “I know how to create jobs” campaign.
What a significant bait and switch.
It makes me wonder how many people who were formerly under collective barganing agreements are now wishing they had voted differently.
As a group the teachers and police were all for this guy.
Enjoy it now that the truth becomes apparent.
For Kasich—Pay back will be a Bitch!
kasich is an idiot but the bigger idiots is the ones that put this man in office. well they wanted change now live with it. what a joke this man is
Teachers and police DID not support him
Teachers and Police DID NOT support this clown
this guy is a TOTAL douchebag. remember folks, this wadd of an excuse for a human being worked at FOX news before this gig the REPUBLICAN VOTERS of Ohio gave him !!! And this jerk is MY AGE. I always thought that by the time I got to be an old fart the government would be cool/better…WRONG. You need not go further than to watch his MOUTH when he’s giving a speech…he gets all wampy-jawed when his panties are getting in a BUNCH, total AHOLE here. These good old boy hard core right wingers scare the PISS outta me with their rationale, and line of thinking…GOD help us…2011 and things ain’t gettin’ ANY BETTER !!!
my late 84 year old father was a hard core right winger like Kasich. Their typical good old boys $$$ club “MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY”dictator like mentality. Their iron fist way of doing things REEKS of being like that of a communist ruled 3rd world country…weren’t communist countries REPUBLICS, i’e’ Republic of CHINA, and the Soviet Socialist REPUBLIC ??? these hard core republicans are one and the same from what I can see…
UNIONS were created to protect workers from communist thinking, money grubbing, narrow minded business owners who think like THIS GUY… could you imagine NOT have collective bargaining and having to work for a guy like this that would treat you like dirt and pay you $5.00 an hour if he could get away with it….regoddamndiculous the VOTERS of Ohio elected this sad excuse for a human being…
He is only mad because he probably thought he should not have to deal with a ticket. If I got pulled over no one would give me any special privileges.
