The Streetsboro High School band director and assistant band director have both been relieved of their duties and placed on administrative leave after allegations of hazing at the school’s summer band camp held at Camp Muskingum.

Streetsboro City School District Superintendent, R. Michael Daulbaugh, published a message on the district’s website Friday morning.

After the recent camp, he said, he “received allegations that some band members may have been hazed, demeaned, and belittled during camp activities in direct violation of established Streetsboro City School Board policies that prohibit hazing and bullying…

“Our Board policy is very clear that the Streetsboro City School District does not tolerate any conduct which can be characterized as intimidation, hazing, or bullying. While this investigation continues, information regarding Marching Band will be posted as it becomes available on the Streetsboro City Schools website.”

  1. Zero leadership, less than zero maturity and a crass atmosphere sparked by poor lesson planning will cause such mayhem in educational settings. ….every time.

  2. It was all a lie. These band directors never hazed anybody. They were defamed and are now suing. I am also being defamed in streetsboro. It seems like its a common occurence. The only thing is the case is before becky doherty who is a biased and prejudiced and very unethical judge. Doherty even lied to the supreme court of ohio and changed my transcript. I already warned the band directors attorneys so hopefully they will be careful.
