Ever wonder what happens to that Solo cup you tossed on the ground at 10 a.m. while getting sloppy for a Browns home game? Of course you don’t. That’s not your problem. That’s just where the cup goes once you’re done with your Bud Light Lime.

Well, you should know, you inconsiderate litter-bugging ahole, that it joins thousands of others, along with bottles, cans, vomit, general debris, trash, seven or ten comatose bodies, and Bob Golic on the pavement. Not shocking, but to see it all 12 hours after kickoff waiting for some forlorn city workers who must clearly hate their job… it’s jarring.

NewsNet5 filmed some of the cleanup circa midnight last night. Video below.

  1. Wow…Now I know why I have never done a tailgate for a Browns game…Thats called being part of the problem….

  2. We were appalled when we came back from the game, it was digusting!! This display made me lose a little faith in the younger generation of browns fans. I’m only in my younger 30s and had brought my new wife to her first Browns game only to find part of a cherished tradition soiled by a bunch of punks treating it like a Jersey shore frat party. Any future visits to Ohio for a game will be at Burke lakefront, not the bro filled muni.

  3. Bunch of PIGS who give Cleveland a bad name! No class! Your Mother taught you nothing and you don’t have s___t for brains!!!

  4. it sure isn’t hard to just include a few trash bags along with your party supplies.i’ve seen people throw stuff out of their cars everywhere i go in our fine city,it’s really lousy that people are like this.

  5. When the city bans tailgating the pigs will scream. Sorry that was a slam for pigs, they would not have made the mess.

  6. Finally this problem is being addressed. I’ve been parking in the Muni lot for over 10 years and am disgusted every Monday morning by what is left behind. And it’s not just the garbage; the stench of pee (when the weather is still warm) makes you want to vomit, not to mention the actual piles of vomit left behind…

  7. Browns tailgaters: real human stains. All local newspapers should publish pics and vids of their pig parties after every game. After enough people know, and complain, maybe something will finally be done to prevent it. Like forcing the Browns to clean it up. Or charging $300 for a tailgater to park. Or having a large law enforcement presence to issue citations, coupled with stiff fees, to the violators. Put-in-Bay did something similar years ago and their litter problem disappeared.

  8. I hate to go against what so many on here are saying, but a few things to keep in mind… The city is making a lot of money off the number of people who come downtown to tailgate these games. I went to the Muni Lot for the first time in my entire life Sunday (sober) and did not see anywhere for people to actually put trash aside from a few overstuff trashcans. Parks and streets have plenty of trashcans, and I think people would use them if the city invested a few extra dollars in places to put debris (just charge the parkers more). Finally, there were nowhere near enough porta-pots. Lines were all about 20-30 people deep by 10 a.m. I’d pee in the grass too if it was an emergency and those were my options…

  9. Every couple of years a story such as this one pops up in either the local rag (Cleveland Plain Dealer) or on a local News Channel.
The last I understood it was now (as has been on the “books” for decades) illegal for any type of alcoholic beverage to be in the Muni Parking Lots and Cleveland Police were going to “ENFORCE” this , HAH !!!
If the City REALLY wanted to curb a ton or 12 of this trash, try enforcing the Health Department Sanitary Codes. Drunk Bubba scratching his privates with a pair of tongs then selling his ribs/hot dogs/hamburgers using said tongs adds a whole new taste dimension along with whatever Bubba has growing on him. YUMMMM YUMMMM.
Besides, us Taxpayers PAID for that Stadium and are STILL paying for it, so let the Browns cough up some $$$$$ and get Trash Cans (maybe 1000 of Trashcanman Frankie Poo Jacksons mandatory recycle $500.00 apiece Blue cans) and have them foot the bill.
What about a few troughs to urinate in that go straight to the lake ?
The City dumps waste right into it anyway including raw sewage from toilets as the NEORSD cant stop robbing us and construct a facility that actually WORKS even though the population has declined.
Oh well, guess I’ll go scratch myself and hand mix up some hamburger as soon as I finish peeing thru the fence.

  10. This is why I choose to tailgate in a different lot….classier people with manners that clean up after themselves. How hard is it to hang a trash bag, fill it, and throw it into the dumpsters? All these people should be banned from this lot and any other tailgate lots until they learn some respect.

  11. Isnt drinking in the muni lot technically illegal anyways? And isnt littering there illegal too? How about we hand out some tickets and fines then see what happens. I bet if you crack down a little bit these people will clean up their act figuratively and literally

  12. Every function in this city there’s a mess left. I don’t know why the tailgaters are getting picked on other than it’s more frequent during the season. You should see Luke Easter Park after “Unity Day” I wonder how much overtime the city pays to clean up some of these messes before they’re viewed in the light of day.

  13. Why are Clevelanders (not just Cleveland sports fans) so piggy in public? WTF must their houses be like, ever think about that? The Muni lot and most other public venues that attract large crowds need plenty of trash cans (both blue ones and black ones) and prominent signs reading: PLEASE DISPOSE OF YOUR TRASH–THIS IS NOT YOUR HOME!

Years ago, people were pretty sloppy, then anti-littering (Remember the “Don’t Be A Litterbug” campaigns?) made people cleaner, but in the last decade or so, it’s all gone to hell in a wastebasket. Today the Muni Lot, tomorrow Wade Oval. Oh, wait…that’s already become a mess, as anyone who was at the Wade Oval Wednesdays this summer already knows. Thanks, peeps…I think I’ll go pee on YOUR lawns some time.

    Chuckles the Clown

  14. They have to be morons – first for the littering and second for even tailgating at a Brown’s game. Save your money and tailgate and get drunk and litter in your living room while watching the Browns lose.

Then when you wake up the next morning you might not remember at first what happened but something will remind you that you tailgated for the Brown’s game in your own home.

This is why some of the Cleveland Brown’s fan are considered so low class – especially the “dog pound” – clean up your act and your mess – tailgaters.

  15. Did not see even one dumpster there. And nowhere near enough porta potties. Maybe people dont have room in their vehicles for large bags of trash. Its not like you can put it in the coolers etc already taking up space. When you force people to make their own bathroom facilities, dont expect them to leave the resulting trash in a closed up vehicle while theyre at the game. Easy to blame the young people, when they dont have even basic facilities to use. Such a huge crowd and very well behaved IMO. Walked around the lot several times and never saw any fighting or vomiting etc. Provide some basic facilities and then complaints would be justified when a mess is left.
