The folks at World Life Expectancy have compiled detailed stats on the life expectancy and causes of death of people in every state and country across the globe.

They are pretty interesting to peruse. 

In Ohio, they peg our average life expectancy at 77.52 years, which is 1.09 years less than the national average.

Broken up by gender, Ohio men on average live to 74.84, which is 1.12 years below the national numbers. Ohio women, clock in at 80.07 on average, while the national numbers give women 81.17 years. They also say the overarching cause of death in Ohio is heart disease.
