According to Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy can provide licenses to up to 60 medical marijuana dispensary applicants statewide, pending the proposed dispensary is located at least 500 feet from a school, church, public library, playground, public park or community addiction services facility.
Passed in September 2016, the medical marijuana bill is expected to go into effect sometime around September 2018 pending the establishment of guidelines for processing, testing and dispensing.
Not all medical conditions are eligible for medical marijuana, as Ohio law only offers licenses for those professionally diagnosed with the following:
- AIDS
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Cancer
- Chronic traumatic encephalopathy
- Crohn’s disease
- Epilepsy or another seizure disorder
- Fibromyalgia
- Glaucoma
- Hepatitis C
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Pain that is either chronic and severe or intractable
- Parkinson’s disease
- Positive status for HIV
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Sickle cell anemia
- Spinal cord disease or injury
- Tourette’s syndrome
- Traumatic brain injury
- Ulcerative colitis

Oooh… our government slavers are throwing us a crumb! Our suited masters are so generous with their allowance of plant usage. It’s 2018. Why are we still putting up with such blatant disregard for human freedom in lieu of corporate profits? There’s plenty of evidence to the plant not only being harmless, but hugely beneficial and there’s also plenty of evidence to the conspiracy to wrongly make it illegal.
What our government is saying is that they recognize that this plant treats this list of major diseases yet they have and are going to continue to restrict access and usage of it.
