Audience members — who are invited to bring signs celebrating the orchestra’s 100th birthday or Independence Day (our nation is 242 years young this year) — won’t get the official full-blown birthday concert until the annual “Star-Spangled Spectacular” that night, complete with special guests and fireworks. But a string quartet composed of Cleveland Orchestra members, as well as some from its youth orchestra, are set to entertain early in the morning.
The whole day is entirely free and open to the public. For more information, contact the orchestra at 216-231-1111.
