The race between Jennifer Brunner and Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher for the U.S. Senate is, as the Columbus Dispatch said in a headline this morning, “flying under the radar.” Brunner had only raised $61,000 by the end of last year and Fisher had raked in about $1.8 million. The Dispatch quoted OSU political scientist Herb Asher as saying, “I don’t think there’s been much of a race to focus on.”
Brunner, to her credit, is trying to make it interesting, even if, in the process and not to her credit, she’s endeavoring into nasty name calling and bizarre analogies.
Like comparing Lee Fisher to Tonya Harding.
Wait, how’d we get from this 2010 Senate race to a 1994 figure skating scandal?
