The event takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at IngenuityLabs, Ingenuity’s headquarters in the Hamilton Collaborative at 5401 Hamilton Ave.
Ingenuity’s Bal supports Ingenuity’s year-round programming, and there will be live music and local food and drink. The event will include a “dreamscape” filled with larger-than-life artwork, including a bedroom that shrinks guests to ankle level and floating dreamboats that explore the idea of “what your bed becomes while you sleep.”
You can also climb aboard pirate ships, snuggle in a giant birds nest, ride in a racecar or float amid the crowd in a hot air balloon. Musical acts such as Taylor Lamborn, Uno Lady, Revolution Brass Band, Moustache Yourself, Nah Nah and DJ Byron SquareBiz Lee will perform.
Get Hep! Swing and Viva Dance Studio, Nerdy Dancers of the CLE, Fire and Light Performing Art, and Sam Novak will also be on hand, and the Be Studios/Be Fitness students will give an aerial and pole performance.
Watershed Distillery and Platform Beer will provide the libations, and
Poca, Sauce the City, Tinman, and the Rice Shop will serve up the food.
Attendees should plan to wear “the costume of their dreams.”
Tickets cost $27 in advance, $35 at the door, and VIP experience tickets are available as well.
