We love IngenuityFest, the annual celebration of art, music, and technology. And we loved it over at the Detroit-Superior bridge, which although not the ideal location, provided a rich landscape with the lower level of the structure, the Cuyahoga River laconically meandering below, and a nice view of downtown. Before that, the fest also squatted at Public Square, E. 4th, and and Playhouse Square.
But we’re going to love IngenuityFest even more at its new home this year: on the lakefront.
September 14-16 are the dates for 2012, and the locale will be docks 32 and 30, right over yonder by Browns Stadium and the Great Lakes Science Center. There will be outdoor and indoor spaces — two warehouses will provide 120,00 square-feet of exhibit areas — and the lake will be right there, which is pretty cool by all accounts. Hopefully someone can figure out how to get 17 animatronic dolphins to do some synchronized swimming in the water.

My favorite festival in CleOh!
Going to need parking shuttle busses for this one!
Plenty of parking down there.
glad to see ingenuity is getting back to it’s core of being a traveling Festival.
^ Connie: There are approximately 4,470 parking spaces within a short to zero walk to this event. Do you need a shuttle for a special need; can’t walk???
I just saved a $&@/load on car insurance by riding my bike to ingenuity!
I thought it was pretty cool under the bridge. Is that weird?
The quirkiness of the location made the IngenuityFest, Now, it might as well be in the suburbs.
