CORRECTION: Modified Bulk Pick-Up Schedule
Bulk pick-up originally scheduled for the weeks of June 15 and June 22 has been rescheduled for the weeks of June 22 and June 29. Residents should follow regular bulk pick-up guidelines. We appreciate residents’ patience as we adjust our plans to keep our workers safe through the coronavirus pandemic.

(Original story 6/11/2020): Those broken wooden pallets, rusted tables, old chairs and other larger items that you’ve had sitting around your house since the start of the pandemic waiting for the city of Cleveland to pick up bulk items will have to stay there a bit longer.
The city last night announced that bulk pick-up that was set to resume the weeks of June 15 and 22 is pushed back 14 more days, to the weeks of June 29 and July 6.
When it comes to garbage, the city is really having quite a banner year.
Anyway, a reminder from City Hall:
Residents should follow regular bulk pick-up guidelines:
Residents may leave out for collection items such as appliances, tables, chairs, mattresses, box springs, couches and furniture.
All mattresses, box springs and cloth furniture must be wrapped in plastic.
In addition to the three items, residents may leave out up to four tires.
The city does not accept construction material.
Boxes and bags are not bulk items.

So, will we get three months worth of refunds from our outrageous trash pickup tax collection fees???
I thought we were supposed to drag it to the closest vacant lot and burn it!
Move out of Cleveland yesterday.
When will you be removing the metal scene dispenser boxes from the sidewalks? They are an eyesore and being used as toilets by homeless people.
I always hang on to my junk.
It is a bit deceptive to describe the supposed Bulk Pickup Ban as “city-wide”.
I’m a regular weekly “garbage picker” in Cleveland Hrs. Chestnut Hills/Cedar-Fairmont neighborhoods on Monday’s and Larchmere/ Little Itally/Wade Park/UC and Glenville on Wednesdays. The scope of sercives that continue to be delivered to these neighborhoods is as different as night and day.
Little Itally and Wade Park/University Circle are still getting almost complete bulk pickup services, and have been, since March 2020. (i.e. think of the mess there would be in these neighborhoods as all of the Case-Western Students, and later UH Medical Residents vacated all the student rentals en mass on a single weekend. Also most were on anual leases that expired on April 30th or May 31st leading landlords to put entire contents of houses and multi-bedroom rental units on the curb during those weeks.
If it can be made to fit in a regular garbage truck, even if that requires truck drivers to tear apart certain items, they’re still getting carted away weekly , and NOT left on the curb in UC/Little Itally.
Best of luck in Glenville and the rest of the Eastside Neighborhoods where there’s been rotting stuff left curb-side for over 3-months now.
I have to hang on to my junk, cant leave it dragging on the ground behind me you know.
