In the midst of the sin tax and win tax and taxy tax talks after county exec Ed FitzGerald proposed some amorphous plan to tie some of the sin tax money allotment to team performance on the field (we don’t fully understand it either), mayor Frank Jackson came out in opposition to the plan.

Fitz made some national headlines with his proposal, earning plenty of ink as The Guy Who Would Finally Stop (Sort Of) Handing Out Tax Dollars Willy Nilly To Pro Sports Teams. And Keith Olbermann latched onto the news after Jackson came out as The Guy Who Wants To Keep Doing Things The Way They’ve Always Been Done and gave Jackson the honor of the World’s Worst Person in Sports.

Watch for yourself.

  1. Anyone listening to Olbermann talk instantly went “who?” when the name Frank Jackson was dropped. But this is great news for Frank Jackson, he finally has something he can attach to his name as his legacy!!!

  2. i didn’t know anyone actually listened to that guy talk since he’s been fired so many times for low ratings. it”s a wonder how this guy keeps getting work.

  3. Ah, another Olbermann hater chimes in with lies about his career. Bet you don’t even live in Cleveland–you just Google his name and post a negative comment about him every place you can. How much does the GOP pay you for that job?

  4. I’ve watched Olbermann a couple times. Trust me, he’s not that good. Even when he says something true or funny I’m like, “meh”, because of the way he presents it.

  5. his highly partisan political views are what got him canned multiple times for low ratings. some like to listen to propaganda. no one should though, from either side of the aisle
