Update: Crumpton pleaded not guilty to the OVI charge. In related news, the next “Kickin’ It With Kenny” segment will feature how to make hooch in a jail-cell toilet.

Fox 8 reporter Kenny Crumpton was arrested last night on Orchard Grove Avenue in Lakewood for operating a vehicle under the influence. A DUI may now be called an OVI, but one thing will never change: Crumpton loves to party.
Don’t believe us? How drunk do you think he was during any of the following (from his Fox 8 bio)?
His antics have placed him standing atop Terminal Tower (575 feet above ground), wrestling a bear, jumping off a 30-foot platform into Lake Erie, skydiving out of a plane at 12,000 feet, riding a circus elephant, feeding a 500 pound tiger “inside” the cage, hanging out in a shark tank with eight sharks and trading steps with Broadway-great Ben Vereen.
We can’t say we fully understand the quotes around “inside” — was it inside the cage or wasn’t it? — we respect that this man has made a career out of doing stupid stuff for the entertainment of Cleveland’s morning news crowd.
He’s scheduled to appear in court next week.

Now Kenny you wrong g for that one!! You are the coolest msr fox 8has ever had. Fox8 reports people an kids being killed by drunk drivers an you do something like this all I can say is Wow Kenny Wow!!! I hope you learn from this incident because it could have been worse. We all love you Kenny get yourself together. An I hope everything work’s out for you. You will be in my prayers.
Of course he was arrested for drunk driving, it seems like every public figure is getting arrested for that nowadays. Speaking of which, here’s a riddle for you: an elected official, a famous news reporter, and a regular citizen all get arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Assuming all are arrested in the same city and had the same BAC, who gets the harshest punishment?
i really like Kenny but c’mon, you can’t do stuff like this
What wasn’t said was the fact that under the influence can be 1/2 a beer or that you can test positive with mouthwash or cough syrup , who says Kenny was drunk ? All that was said was he was under the legal limit
Kenny can kick it with chuck”s last call
Kenny, Kenny,Kenny What we’re u thinking Man.U work @ A News Station Come On Zack Reed Ur Not!
How come Chuck Caletti isn’t getting as much press?
I think this is sad….Kenny rocks and so does Fox *!!!!!! How many dui”s should you have???? How many times have you got behind the wheel even if you have one…..you are still over the limit!!!!! Let’s not judge…..we all make mistakes!!!!!
I think this is sad too, Jessica, and yes we all make mistakes. But we don’t all make “mistakes” that can potentially kill other people and destroy lives, so there’s no excuse for that. Drunk driving isn’t something to be taken lightly, and it shouldn’t be some “slap on the wrist” offense. And drunk driving isn’t a mistake, it’s a crime.
@brian, it says under the influence, not under the legal limit.
Things like this happen. As long as its not a habit. Everyone slips up once in a while. The laws are very strict right now. People drive around at 90 years old or with bodies full of Percocet all the time. Great guy. Lighten up people.
We dont know all the facts yet so its hard to judge
Ulysses says lighten up people. Shut your face ulysses, my sister is gone because of people like kenny.
Ulysses says lighten up people. Shut your face ulysses my sister is dead because of someone just like kenny.
I don’t know any people that were arrested for drunk driving that weren’t actually drunk, so it’s pretty easy to judge actually. I’m sure Kenny will get off on a technicality though.
He must have swerved because he was playing the skin flute…. And yeah Ulysses, put a cork in it. Kenny can afford a cab for God’s sake. No excuse. But I’m sure the station will let one slide.
