A sad story out of Parma from this past weekend…
Police say 45-year-old Kimberly Rudnay was driving on Warwick Drive around 3 a.m. Sunday when she ran over her daughter, 22-year-old Meagan Skeens. The daughter was taken to Metro where she later died.
According to NewsNet5, alcohol was involved in the accident, though further details have not been released.
Rudnay was arrested at the scene and is being held on pending aggravated vehicular homicide charges.
Police said they’re going to present the case to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

not surprised alcohol was involved- but what was her daughter doing out on the street at 3am? situation not only very sad but very stupid.
who cares what she was doing in the street. the mother should have been more mature and not have been drinking and driving. The person she should love and trust just ended her young life… Very sad.
I don’t think that anything could be worst for a mother than to be responsible for killing her own child, it really does’nt matter who was where at what time,a child is dead at the hands of her mother. The mother’s hell has began and she is already in prison, within herself.
Megan was 22, old enough to be wherever she wanted to be at 3am. And maturity has nothing to do with drinking and driving. It is bad judgement, something most all of us have used in our lives at some point. Unfortunately, as GloryAnn has written, the mother’s hell has begun… Though an accident, she will have to live with the fact that she took the life from what she loved dearly. I knew Kim & her daughter. It is so hard to see & hear the harsh things said of Kim by some. She did not intentionally run Megan down, it was an accident. A tragic accident that can’t be undone… She loved Megan & would never have intentionally hurt her. My heart goes out to Kim and the family.
There is more to the story than the news is telling. Meagan tried getting out of the car while it was moving, and Kim tried to pull her back in…but hit the gas. Yes, they both had alcohol in their systems, and this is tragic. But Kim did love her daughter and will spend the rest of her life remembering this night….RIP, Meagan!
