While Cleveland allowed 76 bars to run late into the early morning, Lakewood chose only seven spots (which were the only to apparently apply for the special permit).
Check out the full approved Lakewood list below:
Iggy’s, 13405 Madison Ave.
Around the Corner, 18616 Detroit Ave.
Mahall’s 20 Lanes, 13200 Madison Ave.
Manja, 13373 Madison Ave.
Merry Arts Pub & Grille, 15607 Detroit Ave.
Tarrymore Inn, 13356 Madison Ave.
The Five O’Clock Lounge, 11904 Detroit Ave.
The Lakewood booze waiver only applies to three days (July 8-10): the Home Run Derby, the actual All-Star Game and the day after, presumably for some good old-fashioned rest and recovery.
The allowed extended hours for Lakewood and Cleveland are 5:30 a.m. to 4 a.m., if an approved bar so chooses. That’s a lot of open hours. Be safe out there, baseball fans.
