Lakewood Also Allows a 4 a.m. Last Call for MLB All-Star Game Week

Not to be left behind, the city of Lakewood has also chosen to allow certain bars the privilege of extending last call to 4 a.m. during the MLB All-Star Game week.

While Cleveland allowed 76 bars to run late into the early morning, Lakewood chose only seven spots (which were the only to apparently apply for the special permit).

The Lakewood booze waiver only applies to three days (July 8-10): the Home Run Derby, the actual All-Star Game and the day after, presumably for some good old-fashioned rest and recovery.

The allowed extended hours for Lakewood and Cleveland are 5:30 a.m. to 4 a.m., if an approved bar so chooses. That’s a lot of open hours. Be safe out there, baseball fans.
