CNN posted a short — very short — excerpt of the interview LeBron completed this morning with Larry King, which will air in its entirety Friday evening. (And will be watched live by approximately 1042 senior citizens. The rest of us will watch on the interwebs Saturday morning.)

Here it is, the tantalizing first public comment from LeBron about the free agency extravaganza:

King: Do you lean at all toward the place you know the best? I mean do they have an edge going in…

JAMES: Oh, absolutely.

KING: …your home team?

JAMES: Absolutely. Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. And – and so it does have an edge.

  1. and how exactly do you quantify an “edge”??? after all, if there are 30 teams in the nba, then in theory, every team has a 1-in-30 chance, or 3.33 percent chance of getting the services of lebron next season. so, again in theory, you could say if he upped c-town’s chances to that of just 5%, doesn’t that constitute an “edge”??? i really don’t pay much heed to one puff-piece interview by a non-sports entity like larry queen. now if lebron had gone on espn and talked to one of their more prominent nba talking head personalities like rick bucher, chris broussard or john hollinger, well then i might pay more attention to it.

  2. If lebron james go to another city.and trust me on this. soon as lebron james haves a bad game, the whole city will trun againt him.
