As detailed in a story published this week, “The Wild, Wild West Bank,” hip-hop nightclub Mirage on the Water is currently being sued by Cleveland City Council, which hopes to strip the club of its liquor license. The owner of Downtown Self Storage, located a block from Mirage, has helped the cause by capturing footage from his building’s roof or through a third-floor window. Over two months this summer, he captured various scenes, some more chaotic than others, going down on his neighboring streets, usually around 3 a.m. on nights the club was open. To outspoken business owners and residents of the Flats, it’s clear: this is Mirage emptying its rowdy clientèle when it closes. Mirage owner Dean Salivaris claims otherwise, crying racism and wondering why the police aren’t policing. We’ve posted three of the videos here. (Click More to keep reading).

  1. that looks like loitering on the streets….were are the cops????????????????????? same street all 3 videos…. no patrol?????

  2. Words can’t express how I feel when I see these videos. Thank you to the owner of Downtown Storage for taking this video,it really gives me a clear picture of what happened to our friend. We lost our friend Daymon Mumford on Dec 9th after one of these routine altercations that followed the closing of the nightclubs. He was standing in the alley, just finished working a second job probably listening and watching the chaos unfold ’til the shots rang out. This is what I’m having a hard time understanding. Look at all those cars and people. Not one person that fatal night of Dec 9th knows anything about a fight breaking out and guns being shot?? One of those shots took a precious soul, is there no conscience left in Cleveland?

  3. quit being so racist, you have video of one fight. and two dumb videos of traffic. its obvious you have a problem with having nightclubs around you. can i ask you somthing do you live in the storage sheds to be videoing this all the time.
