Famous for the novelty track “Facebook Licks My Balls,” local singer-songwriter Chris Hatton has grown what he describes as “inches and inches of facial hair” for Saturday’s CD release show at the Map Room. The show marks the release of his new album, aptly titled

The Beard Album. It’s the first full-length solo album for Hatton, who’s releasing it on his own Analog Beard label. While a handful of local musicians have cameos, Hatton plays all the instruments. “There was no click track, digital editing, or punching used in the making of this album,” he says. “Everything you hear is a take. I grew a beard during the entire tracking and mixing process. I’ve rented scaffolding and built a stage for the event. We’re going to be the first full band to have a show at the Map Room.” The concert starts at 9 p.m. Admission is free.
