OK, that might be a bit of an overstatement. But not totally. It’s just that Lorain County folks are drunker and higher than people in other places.

The Chronicle Telegram reports on a study that surveyed drug and alcohol use. The target demographic — 18-25 year-olds — were asked about marijuana, booze, and narcotics, but were not required to pee in a cup, so this was mainly on the honor system, albeit the anonymous honor system.

Results showing a population more inclined to toke and sip means Lorain County will receive $484,500 over the next three-plus years to address the users and abusers who call the county home.
