The Lorain County man accused of repeatedly stabbing his stepfather’s border collie over the weekend is facing cruelty to animals charges.
On Saturday at approximately 8:35 p.m., Emanuel Eisel, 29, allegedly grabbed his stepfather’s 40-pound dog, “Chew,” by the tail and used a pocket knife to repeatedly stab the animal after it had growled at him. The police report states that the dog sustained grave injuries, including exposure of its intestines.
“It’s like someone killed my son,” Eisel’s stepfather, Anthony Blue, told the PD on Monday. “He was a great dog.”
Blue issued the call to police to report his stepson’s actions and later took Chew to an animal clinic where local veterinarians concluded that the dog could not be saved. Chew was euthanized shortly after.
When police arrived to Blue’s Massachusetts Avenue residence on Saturday evening, Eisel, who was covered in blood, reportedly attempted to flee the scene and stash the knife before police caught up with him.
After he was handcuffed, Eisel was uncooperative with police officers and bashed his head against the cruiser window six times in attempt to break the glass, the police report states.
He now faces charges of obstructing official business and intimidation in addition to cruelty to animals. Eisel has an extensive criminal record which includes convictions for assault, domestic violence, stalking, and burglary.
Sadly, this is just one of two doggie murders that occurred over the weekend.

Hope someone stabs him repeatedly.
I’m glad he decided to smash his own face against the window six times so someone else didn’t have to get in trouble for doing it. Six down, about 700 face smashes to go.
now, now, this guy doesn’t deserve to be murdered for what he did. just throw him in prison with big bubba for 5 years and see how many times he gets hypothetically “stabbed”
