Hotcards, a business card printing outfit on the near East Side, is crowdsourcing the investigation of a recent bike theft.

Here’s how the company explains the case:

Last week, an intruder made a very bold move and stole one of our bikes in plain sight, right in the middle of the day. Luckily we got the whole thing on video. Help us catch the thief and we’ll reward you with 500 Business Cards.

Watch the video below. The brazenness of it all is pretty awe-inspiring. The “Cops” theme helps, too.

  1. This is nothing but a commercial for HotCards that Scene is presenting as a news story. BTW, when was the last time Scene ever broke a story of relevance to anyone? You’re a publication in one of the most corrupt, crime-ridden, and screwed up cities in the entire Industrialized World and you don’t have any scoops to speak of?

Well, Scene & Heard will probably have 5 more stupid slideshows tomorrow. Why do you exist?

  2. I actually really enjoy a lot of the articles they have up here on Scene & Heard. In fact, for a lot of things, I consider it my go-to place for Cleveland news and things that are going on in the community. Since we’re on the topic, why does everything “newsworthy” have to be depressing? Sure there are depressing news bits on here, but all the stories about new businesses opening and local current events are refreshing.
