We are pleased to offer an update that, according to Cleveland Metroparks Rangers, Latrale N. Travis (26) of Cleveland was arrested on Saturday by the Akron Police Department.
As previously reported, Travis, attacked a woman who was jogging through the park June 9 about 6:45 a.m. According to the rangers, Travis knocked her down, straddled her, covered her mouth with his hand and punched her several times in the head. The jogger then bit his finger while he was covering her mouth with enough force causing him to remove his hand and flee the scene of the crime.
Travis was also wanted for a similar incident in Cleveland’s Union-Miles Neighborhood that is being investigated by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department, according to Cleveland Metroparks.
He is currently being held in the Summit County Jail on several charges, including receiving stolen property and carrying a concealed weapon.
