A map recently published in the New York Times illustrates that there’s only one team Ohioans tend to root for when it comes to college football.

That team, of course, is OSU. 

Local fans know that backing the Buckeyes is far more than a casual hobby, it’s a lifestyle choice, and one that many are introduced to at birth.  

This map, based on the number of in-state “likes” the OSU football team’s Facebook page has received, doesn’t leave room for any other college football followings.

  2. So we’re to believe that students of, former students, and family of all the other Ohio schools don’t root for their school. No Kent fans? Akron, OU, Cincy, etc.? C’mon now, you’re just being silly.

  3. I don’t buy it. There are enough Michigan fans in Cleveland to justify “Michigan bars”.
