Poor Medina can’t do anything right. As if the controversy with school superintendent Randy Stepp wasn’t enough, Medina Police Chief Patrick Berarducci accidentally shot himself in his thigh this morning, local media reports.
Fortunately, Berarducci remained conscious and was able to walk his wife through trauma care before medical help arrived.
He has already been released from the hospital — the wounds weren’t serious — and is expected to make a full recovery, but how embarrassing! I mean, seriously. He was holstering his sidearm and just straight-up shot his upper thigh. All the gun legislation in the world wouldn’t have prevented this one.

Yes, this would be considered to be slightly embarrassing if you were a policeman, let alone the police chief. I’m sure his fellow officers won’t let him live this one down anytime soon.
