It’s been a busy week for Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

He kicked it off last weekend by spending a few hours in jail after “brawling” in Florida.

And now his new single “Invincible” has been tapped as WWE star John Cena’s theme song for Wrestlemania XXVIII.

Cena will enter the big fight — which takes place in Miami on April 1, so mark your calendars now — as MGK’s song about, um, being invincible blasts behind him.

You can watch Cena’s promo here.

Not so surprisingly, MGK identifies with Cena’s underdog status and throws his support Cena’s way. Which could come in handy in case Cena ever decides to stage a flash mob at a shitty suburban mall. —Michael Gallucci

  1. Thanks for pointing out that wrestling is fake. Not a lot of people know that. Let’s hear it for Scene magazine, the “Captain Obvious” of Cleveland publications. Don’t forget to go home tonight and watch your “fake” dramas and “fake” sitcoms…

  2. Gallucci you are a moron. Here we have a story about a Cleveland artist gaining success on the national level, and you can’t help but turn it into yet another dig. Is it a personal vendetta? Did he turn you down for an interview? You didn’t get to do the cover story on MGK, which I understand was one of the most widely circulated/commented on of last year? No wonder artists leave Cleveland after they are successful. Nice work.
